Who Are We

Aizlewoods Flooring Specialists, established in 1967, is a contract flooring company based on the philosophy of consistent and never ending improvement.

Alan Aizlewood and Keith Nicholson established the company in 1967. Originally called Aizlewood & Nicholson, they were based in Granellis Yard on Broad Street in Sheffield.

The company was set up to provide a fitting service to local department stores and retailers, such as Bradford Woollen, throughout South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire.

After Keith’s departure from the company, Phil Casson became a director and the company was renamed Aizlewood & Casson and incorporated on 1st February 1980.

2017 marked the 50th anniversary of the company and therefore a brand refresh and name change has been introduced to reflect the company moving forward and to embrace the Aizlewood family taking full control of the business, with Jonathan Aizlewood at the helm.

Where we are today?

After 50 years gaining valuable experience, we are able to offer a first class service to new and existing clients. We offer expert technical advice and ideas on suitable specifications of all flooring, in addition to the full service of removal, subfloor preparation, installation and after care, as well as professional project management from start to finish.

We strive to be the first choice for our clients and be able to offer a diverse range of products and services to help make that choice easy.

Our focus and passion now lays within in the commercial and industrial sector of flooring, where we continue to achieve excellence, becoming finalists in the 2019 & 2020 Flooring Industry Awards.

    Our Team

  • Jonathan Aizlewood

    Managing Director

    Jonathan started working with company in 1995, in the role as Estimator. Having worked closely alongside Alan Aizlewood for 14 years it was inevitable that Jonathan would take over as Managing Director once Alan retired.

    Outside of the workplace Jonathan is a keen mountain biker, has a passion for music and playing the guitar and spending quality time with his wife and daughter.

  • Lauren Aizlewood-Clow

    Estimator/ Marketing / HR

    Lauren has been involved with the family business throughout most of her life and is now a permanent member of the team and splits her time between Marketing, HR and Estimating.

    Outside of the work place Lauren is a Dance Tutor & Choreographer. She loves all aspects of health, fitness ad wellbeing, socialising with friends and spending time with her family.

  • Darryl Young

    Contracts Manager

    Darryl started working with the company in 1997 in the role as Admin Assistant. Over the past 20 years Darryl has progressed to Estimator and now is one of our main Contracts Managers.

    Outside of the workplace Darryl has an interest in following boxing, enjoys reading, watching films and spending time with his family.

  • Carl Wilson

    Floor Fitter

    Carl started working with the company in 2004 in the role as full time floor fitter. He works alongside Phil and are a great team.

    Outside of the work place Carl enjoys football, socialising and spending time with his family.

  • Richard Hearnshaw

    Floor Fitter

    Richard started working with the company in 1989-1999, then after a break came on board full time in 2011 as  floor fitter.

    Outside of the work place Richard enjoys listening to music, going to concerts, walking, going on holiday and spending as much time as possible with his wife and daughters.

  • Charlie Luttrell

    Apprentice Floor Fitter

    Charlie began his apprenticeship with us at the beginning of Summer 21.

    Outside of the workplace Charlie is a keen footballer, enjoys going out with friends and playing on his Xbox. We are really excited to support Charlie on his journey through his apprenticeship and to see him flourish into a confident and skilled fitter.
